With roots from Dongguan, Ken was born and raised in Hong Kong, until he graduated from King’s College London in 2006, with a Bachelor and Master’s degree in International Management.

 

After his Graduation, Ken joined Accenture, a global leading management consulting firm, where he worked as a business consultant in the London office until 2010, when he returned to Hong Kong. Upon his return to Hong Kong, Ken joined Lung Cheong Group, where he oversaw numerous investments within the group’s portfolio including manufacturing, real estate development, energy and more. Through his work, it has also given Ken first-hand experience in working within the Greater Bay Area, where most of his projects were based.

 

Since Ken’s return to Hong Kong, apart from further developing his business career, it has also given him the chance to start giving back to society, especially in the field of youth development. Since 2010, Ken has played key and pivotal roles in numerous youth initiatives, from grassroot projects such as the project chairman of ““Learning our Nation and Home” Competition Series”, to major events such as the chief secretary of  ““20th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland” Youth Programmes”, to exchange and internship programmes such as the convener of “Greater Bay Internship Programme” .

 

With his experience in major youth initiatives, it has also given Ken the opportunity to serve in national positions such as a member of the Standing Committee of the All-China Youth Federation, or Hong Kong positions such as a member of the Hong Kong Youth Development Commission, and non-government organisations such as the Chairman of Hong. Kong United Youths Association to just name a few. Serving in these positions has given Ken exposure to the issues and challenges that our young generation faced, and also the chance to voice concerns and direct views of our youth to the government, and slowly moving onto more youth policy issues. In 2021, Ken was elected into the Legislative Council of the HK SAR, where he became a full-time legislator, hoping to take youth development policies into a new era, creating a brighter future for our youth, and for a better Hong Kong.
